Five Principles for Creating a 21st-Century Culture

Jamie Notter

10:30-11:45am

“Culture eats strategy for breakfast,” as they say, yet few organizations can accurately describe their culture, let alone articulate their strategies for keeping it healthy and strong. This problem has intensified in today’s fast-paced, “social” world, where traditional command-and control approaches are giving way to more decentralized, transparent, and agile ways of doing business. Associations that are thriving today (and attracting the best talent) are adapting to this new environment. They are building cultures based on modern, more social principles, and have better performance to show for it. In this session, Jamie Notter, author of Humanize: How People-Centric Organizations Succeed in a Social World, will outline practical strategies for bringing your culture “up to code” in today’s world, in ways that can make you an employer of choice.
